When Dreams Come True

"You got any ideas?" Nicole asked. She couldn't be happier to hear that he believed her.

"Yeah. I sleep on the couch until we get you back to wherever." he said, standing up.

"That's a stupid idea," Nicole said bluntly. She got up and paced around, thinking of ideas.

He shrugged and got another beer.
"Now I am going to get drunk and see if this situation seems better that way." he announced, sitting down with a six pack.

"That's another stupid idea," Nicole said, taking away the six pack,"why did I dream about you, anyway?" He was definitely different than she thought he'd be.

"Im Prince Charming." he joked, "If ya don't like me, then
you can stop dreamig about me when we get you home." he said, setting the beer she hasn't taken aside, "Besides. From waht I know, Im supposed to be that kid Jacen that moved in across the street from you." he shrugged.

"What Jacen kid?" Nicole asked, perplexed. She didn't remember any Jacen from across the street.

he shrugged.
"Dunno. I'm just some stupid guy YOU dreamed up."

(Its alright.)

Nicole rolled her eyes. "I was and am a very silly girl," she said. She walked around a little, trying to get used to the house. "This place sure is different from the last place I lived in."

He shrugged.
"You picked it. I wanted a place near the beach." he said, smiling as he remembered them debating on a houses few years ago when they'd first gotten married.

"I have to admit, this whole situation is a awkward for me," she replied,"you remember all of this stuff, but I don't. Plus next week, we're visiting my sister. What's she been up to lately?"

"I think she had a kid. Or maybe that was my sister.....Uh....I think she's married. Maybe. Oh I don't know! Her and I don't get along so you don't tell me
things about her unless it's something tht means we have to go see her or if you're telling me that were going to see her anyways."

"I see, this is gonna be fun," Nicole said sarcastically.

He smirked.

"What are you smirking about?" Nicole asked, laughing.

"Nothing." he said, a slight laugh in his voice.

"Whatever," Nicole said. She was now really curious about what her sister was up to. "Do we have any current pictures of her, at least?"

"Yeah." he grabbed a picture from their wedding, "Here." he handed it to her. She was standing in the middle in her gown, he stood to her right in his tux, the vest a dark red. He had taken the jacket off. her sister stood on her left.

"Ah, I see," she studied the photo for a minute. "Everything fits with the dreams...." she whispered.

"Hm?" he hadn't heard her.

"Its nothing," Nicole answered.

"Alright." he said, leaning back and slumping down again.

"So, what do I do for a living nowadays?" Nicole asked,"What about you?"

"You're a *insertprofessionhere*. I played football before we got married. But I hurt my knee the first game after the wedding, so I'm a cop now." he laughed.

"Right, right. I remember that," she replied,"from the dreams, I mean. Its so weird that this happened. I feel like the girl from 13 Going on 30. Only worse."
