Perfect Weapon

"I suppose," Sol said with a sigh. "My sister isn't going to like this at all."

"As I recall," He said, driving to the highway, "She didn't like you or me last time we visited either. So can we really make it worse?"

"Probably not." Sol muttered.

"Though we do have a tendency to pi$s people off." Rune said, looking over at her and fighting the tendency to run his fingers through her hair.

"I guess it doesn't really matter what we say to them. Either way someone is bound to be mad." She stretched her arms out in front of her then relaxed.

Rune chuckled. "Aint that the truth." He told her, merging onto the freeway. "Which exit?"

"That one." She said, pointing her finger at the exit closest to them.

"Sh!t," he said, swerving into the next lane without hitting any cars. "Crap"

"Close one," Sol said, glancing over at the other cars.

"I'll say," Rune grumbled, "Wouldn't it have sucked to be in a car accident? What if we died? What if you died, and I wasn't dead, wouldn't that suck even more?"

"Yes it would suck. It would suck if we weren't in a car accident and died."

He turned onto a side street and pulled up in front of the sisters house. "Here we are." It was a tiny itsy bitsy house.

Sol sighed. "Let's go have some fun." She opened the car door and stepped out.

"How're we playing this? Confrontational? Or just like a girl and her boyfriend visiting her sister?" He asked, locking the car door and slipping the keys into his pocket.

"No idea. What do you think?" She paused outside of the car, thinking.

"Let's just play it out like we're visiting. No need to ruffle the bastards feathers." He said, grabbing her hand.

Sol smiled as they walked up to the front door. She pressed the doorbell and waited patiently. The door swung open o reveal her sister wearing a huge smile on her face. "Sol!" She cried happily.
"Jasper," Sol said in return, holding Rune's hand tightly.

Rune felt Sol's hand tighten in his, and realized that she was probably scared - she hadn't seen her sister in a long time, and her sister's boyfriend was sending her threatening text.

((First name that popped into my head. I have a weird head.))

"You remember Rune," Sol said, glancing over at him.
"Of course," Jasper nodded then opened the door wider. "Come in."

As SOl tugged him inside, Rune observed that it was very pink inside the tiny little house.

((Do you want to cover Tristan?))

"What took you so long to come out and visit?" Jasper asked.
"We've been busy," Sol said, almost tripping over a calico cat sitting on the floor.

((yesh.))

Tristan stalked in. "Watch it!" He yelped as Sol nearly tripped over the cat, who meowed and ran off.
"Careful" RUne said, steadying her.
There was immediate tension between Rune and Tristan.

"Sorry," Sol mumbled. She wanted to complain about how cramped it was, but she held it back. She was a bit scared now that Tristan was there. He didn't exactly look like the type to send threatening texts, but Sol could only see him as someone who did that now.

"Don't be scared," Rune leaned down and whispered in her ear. "We don't know it him." Although it probably is, he thought to himself. "And I'm here. Don't worry."

Tristan stomped over to Jasper, and put his arm around her and glared. Right at Rune. Who raised an eyebrow in response.

"I know," Sol whispered back. She glanced over at Jasper who seemed perfectly fine.
"How about we sit down and catch up?" Jasper suggested and turned for another room.
