Perfect Weapon

Tristan snorted. "Jasper," he whispered, "You know I hated that guy." He meant Rune.

Jasper elbowed him. "Can't you play nice for just a little bit? I haven't seen my sister in so long." She hissed and scowled at Tristan.

He scowled right back, refraining from a contemptive 'so?'. "Fine," he grumbled, glaring a bit more at Rune, "But only a little bit."

Rune didn't have a good feelings about this. "He's glaring at me." He whispered to Sol, "I hate when he glares at me. It makes me want to glare back."

"Then glare back. He's the bad guy here." Sol whispered back to him. "He's not very fond of either of us so it doesn't really matter."

Rune took her words to heart, and glared. "I suppose I can't make anything worse."

"Jasper," Tristan whispered, "Can't you serve them some tea and sandwiches and make em leave?"

"Don't be a pain. They haven't done anything wrong. Why treat them like this?" Jasper said, starting to get angry. She sat down in the living room and waited patiently as Sol and Rune walked in. Jasper shot a glance at Tristan, hoping he would put up with it until she said so.

He put his hands up in the universal 'I'll do what you say' gesture and sat down in the bright blue easy chair

Jasper smiled triumphantly as Sol sat down. "What have you guys been up to since the last time I saw you?" Jasper asked.
Sol shrugged. "Nothing interesting." She said. She wasn't planning to telling her sister what they had really been doing.

And who would tell her sister what they'd really been doing.

Tristian kept himself from sneering at Rune - barely. "And what's Rosenburg doing here?" He asked, barely keeping a polite tone of voice.

What do you think he's doing here?, Sol thought bitterly. "He's my boyfriend. Even if he wasn't he'd still be here." She said, narrowing her eyes. Sol wondered how Jasper could put up with this guy everyday. How can you not want to push him out an open window?

((ouch.))

This was, to Tristan, news. Thank god they finally got together, was all that he was thinking.

Rune leaned over and whispered in Sol's ear. "You can't push him out a window."

Sol turned and frowned. "I know. I can't guarantee that someone else won't." she mumbled.

He raised a sardonic eyebrow. "Are you telling me to push him out a window?"

Tristan leaned over to Jasper. "I feel like they're talking about pushing me out a window." He said, putting his arm around her.

((I told my friend I'd push him out a window today.))

"Nope. Just saying." Sol said and fiddled with her hands in her lap.

Jasper shook her head. "I doubt that. Why would they be talking about that?"

Rune chuckled."Talk to your sister, we came here to see her," he prompted.

"Because they are. I just know it."

"Okay," Sol said and turned to her sister.

"Whatever." Jasper said, rolling her eyes. "Sol, how about we go into the kitchen?"
"Um...sure." Sol replied and rose to her feet. Jasper did the same and led the way to the kitchen.

Rune raised an eyebrow as the two girls disappeared then looked at Tristan.
Tristan looked back.
If Sol or Jasper had looked in, it would have looked like both men were uncomfortable. But they had a reached a understanding.

"Have you talked to mom at all?" Jasper asked as she looked through cupboards.
Sol shook her head. "I haven't really kept in touch with anyone."
Jasper frowned. "Where have you been all this time, Sol? Under a rock?" She questioned.
"Possibly." Sol said as she watched her sister prepare food.

Finally, Tristan said something. "Congratulations."
"On what?" Rune said, slightly confused.
"On finally manning up and becoming Sol's boyfriend."
"Well, thanks for the compliment and the insult."
